Bubble Hotel Pfalz Alfonso
The half-transparent Bubble Tent Alfonso is located on the family-run Showalter winery in the Pfalz, surrounded by vineyards and alpacas roaming the grounds. Here you can switch off as a couple, leave everyday life behind you and enjoy the tranquillity of nature. Sauna, hot tub and wine tasting are available on site – all three offers can be booked to end the evening in a relaxed manner. In the morning, you can start the day with a breakfast basket and enjoy the view of the vines and alpacas right outside the bubble.

Alfonso is half-transparent, Al Capone is fully transparent – both bubbles are on the same site and otherwise offer the same conditions. No children, pets, kitchen or WLAN. Breakfast, sauna and hot tub must be booked during the booking process. Wine tastings of any kind can be organized directly with the host after booking.

How it works
As soon as you have made your booking, you will receive an email with all the details about your arrival. There you will also find a link to your booking with all the travel details.
You can arrive from 3 pm. If you arrive later than 8 pm, please contact the host. You will find the number in your booking.
Self-check-in is possible at the Bubble Hotel Pfalz. Should any problems arise on site, you can contact the host on site at any time. You can find the number in the booking portal. Parking spaces are available on site.
Check-out must take place by 10 am. Please strip the bed, put the bedding in the lock and throw your garbage in the garbage cans outside the Bubble Tent.

A beautiful cycle path leads past the site. You can safely lock up your bike on site.

Parking is possible directly at the property; from Bad Bergzabern train station it is about 5 minutes by cab or ~30 minutes on foot. You can reach the sanitary facilities in a few steps. Please be considerate and coordinate times for the hot tub and sauna.

How does the half-transparent Alfonso bubble work?
The bubble is air-supported and has an airlock entrance. A gentle flow of air maintains the shape and provides fresh air.
Is the construction stable and safe?
Yes, it is firmly anchored and weatherproof. If the weather is critical, we will contact you proactively.
Heating, ventilation: how pleasant is the climate in the bubble?
Heating and air conditioning are installed. The permanent air circulation also ensures a balanced indoor climate.
How private is it on site?
Alfonso is semi-transparent and offers very good privacy protection. Nevertheless, you still have a clear view of the sky.
Where are the toilet and shower?
Fixed toilets and showers with hot water are just a few steps away from Alfonso.
Can children come along and is there an extra bed?
The Bubble is designed for two adults. Therefore, no extra beds are possible.
Are pets allowed?
No, pets are not allowed.
Are there catering or vegan/vegetarian options?
Food is not included. Bring what you like and don't forget to bring drinking water.
Can I bring my own food and drinks?
Yes, you should. But bear in mind that there is no kitchen and no fridge.
Hot tub and sauna: How do I use them?
Both are available on site, but not exclusively for you. Instead, they can be used jointly via a time slot.
What ways of payment do you accept?
You can pay online with PayPal, credit card, voucher, Klarna or in advance.
Cancellation or rebooking - what is possible?
You can cancel free of charge up to 10 days before your arrival. The exact regulations depend on the tariff and general terms and conditions.
What is the difference between a location voucher and a value voucher?
Location vouchers are only valid for Alfonso in the Pfalz, value vouchers can be used flexibly for all locations.
How long is my voucher valid for?
The validity is stated on the voucher and in your order confirmation.
What does the Romantic Upgrade (also non-alcoholic) offer?
The romantic upgrade includes a bottle of wine and beautiful torches around the Bubble Hotel. If you want non-alcoholic wine, please ask on site.
Are there extras such as flowers or decorations?
Yes, subject to availability. Indicate your request when booking and we will discuss it with the host.
Is Alfonso suitable for honeymoons or birthdays?
Yes, the bubble is ideal for special occasions. Please let us know the occasion in the comments field when booking.
Can I give a stay in the bubble as a gift?
Yes, this is possible with a location or value voucher or as a direct booking to the person receiving the gift.
What about staying in the rain or storm?
We monitor the weather and inform you in the event of impending storms.
Is there an emergency contact?
Yes, you will receive the contact details with the arrival information. The host can be contacted.
How often do you clean?
The bubble will be cleaned before you check in. The sanitary areas will of course be kept clean.
Is there a fireplace and are barbecues allowed?
An open campfire is not permitted. However, you can barbecue at the fire barrel located on site by prior arrangement.
